The drive from GJT
Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) is an alternative arrival point for travelers heading to Aspen and Snowmass. The drive generally uses I-70 and Highway 82, continuing through the Roaring Fork Valley toward your lodging.
Start with an estimate of about 2 hours 30 minutes on the road. Your actual travel time depends on the address, traffic, weather and any agreed stops. Before you book, we’ll also confirm how soon the driver can reach GJT.
What your transfer fare covers
Your fare covers your private ride to Aspen or Snowmass, the driver’s return to Grand Junction and $50 for cleaning the vehicle and charging the electric truck.
We’ll confirm the full price for your trip before you pay. Charging stops and breaks are included without a separate time charge.
Weather and changed arrivals
Bad weather at Aspen Airport can also affect the roads. A private transfer is available only when the driver can safely complete the trip and the schedule allows it. Send your latest flight details so we can check whether we can make the trip.
If the airline changes your arrival airport or time again, let us know promptly. We’ll check the revised plan with you before confirming any changes.

Aspen Airport’s planned 2027 closure.
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) currently lists a closure to commercial and general aviation from April 4, 2027 at 11 p.m. through November 19, 2027 at 7 p.m. If you are traveling during that period, arrange your alternative flight and ground transportation together.

How long does the drive from Grand Junction Airport take?

Can you still drive us if Aspen Airport closes because of snow?
Aspen Airport may close while the roads remain open, but we need to check conditions before confirming your ride. Severe weather or road closures can delay or prevent a transfer, and we will explain what is possible before you commit.
Can you drop us at our hotel in Snowmass instead of Aspen?
Yes. Send the name and address of your Snowmass Village hotel or rental. We’ll confirm where to drop you off, including any special instructions for reaching the property.
Will there be room for our luggage and ski bags?
The private Sierra EV Denali carries up to four passengers. Text the number and size of your suitcases and ski or snowboard bags before booking. We’ll check that there is room for everyone and their bags, especially if four people are traveling with skis or other large items.
What if the airline changes our airport or arrival time again?
Text the updated flight details as soon as you receive them. We’ll check whether the revised pickup can fit the schedule and explain any change to timing or cost. A new arrival time or airport is subject to availability.
Can we book the return ride from Aspen or Snowmass to GJT?
Yes. Send your return date, flight departure time and lodging address. We’ll plan a pickup that allows for the drive, current conditions and airport check-in. A later return is a separate reservation with its own confirmed price.
