Wedding guest transportation for small groups in Western Colorado

An airport ride for a couple or a family is a different job from moving an entire wedding. Plan the smaller journeys carefully so guests can arrive ready to enjoy the celebration.

The quick answer

A private ride works well for one to four wedding guests who need an airport pickup, hotel-to-venue transfer or prearranged ride home. GJ EV Rides handles each trip personally from our Grand Junction base. Share the addresses and timing early so we can check availability. For a full guest list needing several vehicles at once, a larger group-transportation provider will be a better fit.

Separate the wedding into individual transportation needs

Start with the journeys, not a general request for wedding transportation. A couple arriving at an airport on Friday, relatives traveling from a hotel on Saturday and a family departing Sunday may all need different pickup times and vehicle arrangements. Put those trips in a simple list with addresses and passenger counts.

This makes it easier to see which rides could suit a private vehicle for up to four people and which need a larger group provider. It also prevents the assumption that booking one arrival transfer keeps the same driver available throughout the wedding weekend.

Choose the right service for the group

Our vehicle can accommodate up to four passengers, subject to confirming the luggage and equipment. It can suit a couple, a small family or a few guests who share the same arrival and destination. The vehicle price is the same for one, two, three or four people.

A large wedding needs a different plan. Several consecutive trips in a four-passenger vehicle may sound workable on paper but can create difficult timing if guests need to arrive together. We do not promise multiple vehicles, a continuous shuttle loop or a driver on standby unless a specific arrangement has been reviewed and accepted.

Give airport arrivals their own plan

Ask guests for the airport, flight number, arrival date and actual destination address. A hotel, private rental and wedding venue may be far apart, even if everyone describes them as being in the same mountain area. The airport’s official transportation information can help guests compare options before committing to flights.

Do not schedule the ceremony ride directly from the flight’s published landing time. Guests still need to deplane, collect bags and meet the driver, and flights can change. If arriving the day before is possible, it removes one connection from the wedding-day schedule. The choice depends on the guests’ travel plans rather than a guaranteed buffer.

Work backward from when guests need to be ready

The ceremony start time is not usually the ideal drop-off time. Guests may need to find the entrance, use the restroom, greet family and take their seats. Ask the couple or venue coordinator when guests should actually arrive, then share that target with the driver.

Confirm the venue’s appropriate vehicle entrance and drop-off point. A property name alone may not identify the correct gate or accessible entrance. If the ceremony and reception are at different addresses, treat that movement as another journey that needs to fit the accepted schedule.

Include the items that make this trip different

Wedding travel can involve more than ordinary suitcases. Mention garment bags, formal clothing, gifts, child seats or mobility equipment before confirming the ride. We will review the passenger and luggage arrangement instead of assuming everything fits because there are only two or three guests.

Keep essential items with the person who needs them. If a guest changes hotels or checks out before the ceremony, decide where their bags will go. Do not assume the driver can store belongings all day or collect unattended items from another location as part of a simple transfer.

Arrange the end of the evening in advance

Agree on the return pickup location and time before the event. A message at the end of the reception may not result in an available driver, particularly when the pickup is a long distance from Grand Junction. Our schedule and the time needed to reach the venue must be confirmed.

Choose a contact person who can communicate a change without several guests sending conflicting instructions. If the evening runs late, contact the driver to discuss what is possible. A confirmed ride home helps guests enjoy the celebration without leaving transportation as an unresolved task.

Keep the booking details together

Send one clear message with each journey’s date, pickup, destination, passenger count and timing. Include the venue contact information only when it is relevant and appropriate to share. Ask the organizer to confirm the addresses and arrival target before the booking is finalized.

We review the itinerary and quote personally. Destination-transfer prices include all service driving in one transportation amount plus the fixed $50 vehicle cleaning and electricity expense. There is no separate wedding surcharge. Tell us about any waiting or additional trips so the full itinerary can be agreed before you book.

Leave room for the next morning

A late reception and an early departure can make the final ride easy to overlook. If guests need airport transportation the next day, book it as its own journey and confirm the pickup address after any hotel change. Include luggage collection and checkout in the plan.

For guests staying longer, a private Palisade, Monument or Grand Mesa outing can be discussed separately. Keep those optional plans distinct from the essential wedding rides. That makes it clear what is reserved and lets each group choose the amount of travel that suits its weekend.
